Getting work from the project I want

I just joined (Windows/Boinc) and wanted to get WUs from the FightAides@Home project. Instead I kept getting Rosetta's WUs.
How do I get what I want?

Oops,

We are porting FAAH to run on BOINC before the end of the month. Right now, BOINC just runs HPF.

Just wait a while and all will be well, biggrin

Re: Getting work from the project I want

Get em' installed and start crunching HPF... That way you can start BOINCing FAAH as soon as it's ready. wink

And then of course don't forget you will have no choice over which sub project to crunch on as BOINC does not offer this facility I think.

Maybe admin/developers over here could get in touch with D.Anderson to see if this could choice mechanism could be built into further BOINC clients

Re: Getting work from the project I want

We have modified things so you will be able to opt in and opt out of World Community Grid projects for BOINC. When we launch FAAH/BOINC, we will check your settings at My Grid->My Projects and only send you Work Units that match your selection. Note that for BOINC, this project opt in/opt out will be at the user level, while UD users can opt in/opt out at the Device level.

Thanks,

Re: Getting work from the project I want

The techs seem to be keeping on top of things. There have been several changes already, plus more in the works.

I am running FA@H in the regular setup. Workfiles are tiny with the new Autodock program, so I am able to spend more time crunching and less time sending/receiving. laughing

Note that for BOINC, this project opt in/opt out will be at the user level, while UD users can opt in/opt out at the Device level.
That works for me. One computer here is too slow for FA@H so spends its time on HPF.
