Gremlin2 --
----------------------------------------Yep -- it wasn't our top day (January 9, 2005, we hit 310,249 with only 1474 results), but it certainly was close! It was only the third time we scored over 300,000 points for a day. Far from the last, I am sure. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 24, 2006 12:40:34 AM] |

Now see DB I told you the panthers won't make it to the big one this time. Sorry they lost, but I'm glad Seattle will be there. Gremlin2 they lost by a landslide. 34-14 Seattle goes on to the big one.

It might be a dumb question but, anyone know why the member stats graphs on our website don't seem to be updating properly? They seem to have just repeated the previous day's stats. Is it just that Dave hasn't got around to updating them yet, or is there a problem? ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 24, 2006 4:48:50 AM] |

Al --
Yep -- it was a sad day around here. Having been an NFC (or NFL back in the days) fan all of my life, I will probably be pulling for the Hawks. There is a kid on the Steelers that went to my high school though (very much after I was there). Antwann Randel El is a wide receiver for them. |

The list to the right on the home page is also wrong. I know that he has been having some trouble with scheduling the team website updates because the updates to the WCG stats continues to be later, but I don't think that was the problem last night since they finished at about 00:30 GMT. I'm sure he will spot the problem when he comes online this morning and get it fixed. |

----------------------------------------My little sister Kathryn Edgley posted another result yesterday. Katie only has the family's PC on for MSN Email surfing and the like so those results are few and far between, but every result matters. Thanks Katie. Joost and Ploetner what are you doing? Let us into your secret, your recent turbo boost of crunching powers is awesome ![]() ![]() |

No secret at all, I was able to lay my hands on a couple of racks with IBM xSeries 345 servers , for a while. Nice crunching for as long as I can keep them running the grid agent ...

Thanks for the update on the stats problem guys, and thanks for correcting it DA.
Don't know how old Katie is, but my congrats to her on returning that latest unit. I well recall what it was like trying to do everything with one underpowered PC, running only part time, when I first started using them. About the bag of peat DA. I only used that method of softening water once for tropical fish, and it wiped out most of them. It seems that natural peat can harbour dead insects and large amounts of pollen, which can infect the water with all sorts of nasties. That was when I switched to using bogwood or peat extract, they're already sterile. You can buy it from almost any Aquatic shop. If you decide to use a piece of bogwood in your tank to help keep the water soft, here's a tip - stick it in the microwave for a few minutes on medium setting to kill off bacteria. ![]() |
