Just a friendly bump. I see your team has made some progress, but I expected a lot more growth considering your resources (you currently have 6,831 members in your AOA forums but only 14 current members on your WCG team). If you could manage to get a bunch of those overclockings folks to join your team, you would probably really be able to kick some butt. So let me taunt you a bit to get you motivated. I realize that we have one heck of a big lead on you, but the HomeBrewers is now challenging you to beat us into the top 100. Let's see if you can take us on. If anyone on your team has any influence with AOA, you might see if its website can be changed to add something to promote WCG. For example, there is a "Team 45" tab that goes to a page which promote 'Folding@Home'; why not see if a tab can be added for your WCG team?
Now, let's see what you've got! ![]() Cheers. Bill Velek |

Hi billvelek.
I can't speak for the folks at AOA Forums, but I can tell you that F@H is their main DC project, and having a WCG team was never intended to change that. ![]() I haven't personaly been to the forum for awhile and can't speak to what's going on with the team, but I did receive an email from WCG, checking in on me, so I started the project back up. However, I do think I may go on my own (teamless) soon, as I just can't commit to being a part of a team or running any DC projects long term right now, due to personal and family health issues. |

Thanks for the reply, ladypcer2. I hope your personal and family health issues work out alright very soon.

Hi there! , the problem the AOA WCG team has is that F@H is the main DC effort on AOA, also a few member with big overclocks on their rigs have experienced some overheating issues when running the client long-term.
However Im doing my best to rally some support up for the project and hopefully we can increase our output, we have a couple of big guns at the top of our little group and have hit our first 1,000,000 points so hopefully this will encourage a few more people to join. billvelek: nearer 19,000 members but much fewer are active, around 500 members are currently active and many of these run F@H 24/7. |

We also have a *much* larger Team at another DC project. 'tis tough to recruit those who you have personally recruited for another DC Project. Just keep on crunching and try to get more great volunteers to join your Team here. "Dang the Torpedos, Full Speed Ahead!" ![]() |
