BOINC points?

My BOINC points are off. Compare the run time, points generated, and resulted returned with the users above and below. Link.
This is running on a Linux box, P3 866 MHz, 256MB Ram, running the BONIC command line client on tty1. I don't think the points accolcation is correct, or sucessfully done. I know that BOINC points are multiplied by 7. Can one of the admins check this out? Please?

Re: BOINC points?

I have a similar problem. My Win XP system is running the UD client, and currently has 10d:13h:56m:35sec of runtime, and has 8003 points.
My linux system (BOINC client) has 4d:0h:3m:28sec of runtime, but only 1211 points, based on comparing the data on the website with my XP system.
It is about half as fast as my XP system, but I thought the points were mainly calculated based on runtime and results generated? Can someone help me/us?

Re: BOINC points?

Hello kyl191,
You are running a apple vs orange comparison. Remember that points are awarded on BOINC only after the results are validated by quorum, often a number of days after they are returned. UD awards points immediately, and never tells you whether or not your result was eventually validated.

Re: BOINC points?

Ahh. I see... Does that mean that I may recieve more points sometime in the future, for seemingly no reason at all? Which are the 'new' points from BOINC?
