I'm posting this here as it doesn't really seem to fit in the other forums and it's not a team recruitment thread but I do apologize if it's been stated before and I missed it or this is the wrong forum for it. But anyways, what I'm wondering about is that once full BOINC support is up for WCG projects and BOINC credit earned doing WCG projects shows up in the team stats will it be backdated or will it start up from the moment is enabled forward?
To put it another way as I'm sure that's not the clearest I could've said it, take a 2 month period, you are using BOINC to do WCG projects for both months but full support wasn't enabled until the start of the 2nd month, will the 1st month be added to your team's total or will only the 2nd month? |

Let me rephrase your question to make sure that I understand it: Once BOINC starts exporting the XML stats for Teams so that it shows up one websites such as BOINCSynergy and BOINC Stats will the points for the team include all BOINC points earned by team members participating on the BOINC platform or will points for the team start accruing at point forward only? The goal will be that when we export the team stats for BOINC we will include credit already earned by the users (i.e. from Nov 1st, 2005 forward). Please note - when we do export the stats it will only include credit earned by BOINC devices. This is necessary as the consumers of these xml stats expect that the data included only includes BOINC data. Kevin |
