After I downloaded another Boinc WU from another project, I got this error message 20/12/2005 12:12:46|World Community Grid|Unrecoverable error for result eb788_28_5 ( - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005))
----------------------------------------Does this happen to anyone else and how do I stop getting error messages? |

I am running BOINC with out a problem.
----------------------------------------Here is a description of the error from the BOINC WIKI: 0xC0005 error The two main things to look for seem to be hardware or driver problems. |

I have received one error out of many workunits processed so far:
2005-12-18 19:56:41 [World Community Grid] Unrecoverable error for result eb738_28_2 ( - exit code -164 (0xffffff5c)) So I guess this came from a small incompatibility since they appear to still be getting the BOINC setup on its feet. I'm pretty sure the problems are either workunit errors or bugs in the software, since running Rosetta recently I have just got about 8 of these errors for 8 consecutive workunits. Checking Rosetta's database, all the other computers that got sent the identical workunits also failed to process them. |

Could you please provide the relevant pice of your BOINC log file (a few lines before and after this line). It might shed some light on the problem. Thanks,

As PaperDragon has pointed out, this has occurred on all BOINC projects, but no one knows why. For Rosetta specifically, having dug into a bit, I'm pretty certain it's an error in the BOINC software. REQUEST: Could you (and anyone else who sees this error), please provide the relevant lines from your BOINC log as well as the operating system you're running? This could help us out greatly. A few lines before and after the one listing the error would be most helpful. Thanks,

Re: Alther
I've only had this one error so far which is no problem at all to be honest (and it was a fair while ago too). From the logs the error occurred just after the unit was auto-suspended (Pre-empted). Since this happens often enough though, I guess it was a one-off issue. From the standard output log :: 2005-12-18 19:56:40 [World Community Grid] Pausing result eb738_28_2 (removed from memory) 2005-12-18 19:56:40 [uFluids] Starting result fbubble3-3a_45_1_72_0.82_15000_0.0001_0.0_1 using evolver version 402 2005-12-18 19:56:41 [World Community Grid] Unrecoverable error for result eb738_28_2 ( - exit code -164 (0xffffff5c)) |

Thanks guys. So far we've only seen it when BOINC goes to suspend the task (for benchmarks or running another BOINC project). This info helps confirm it. Please continue to post about 10 lines of the log file surrounding the error.
