confused Lab testing of results question

Sorry if this is the wrong forum but this seemed like the one most likely to be correct. Out of curiosity for those people who might not want to participate in these projects in the event that the lab testing of the results is done on animals is there anywhere to find out about that so that they'll know one way or the other?

Re: Lab testing of results question

There is nothing in the process an organization uses to nominate a project to the World Community Grid which requests such information. With projects that are purely computational in nature, this makes sense. At completion the project results must be published and available to the public. It would seem quite likely that any project we might run that is biological in nature could lead some organization to perform further research using those published results with laboratory animals.

Re: Lab testing of results question

Thanks for the reply. That's what I had thought and I had just wanted to have something to tell anyone that asks me about it even if it's just a "most likely yes they do".
