I have read and accepted, that I have to log on to the website every time I spend a visit. OK, I can live with that. What annoys me though, is the fact, I even can not save my credentials (user / password), at least in Internet Explorer. Is it possible, to change the website's design, to enable this feature?
TIA, schroedi |

Hello schroedi,
The decision not to use a permanent cookie was made on security grounds. There are several workarounds. The one I use is downloading the Firefox browser and using it to access the World Community Grid site, since it has a password manager. It does not interfere with Internet Explorer, unless you set it up that way on installation. mycrofth |

Hello mycrofth,
it's true, Firefox works for me too. IMHO it has nothing to do with cookies, that IE doesn't offer to save the password. It's rather the way, the 'Submit' button is designed to work, since IE saves userid and passwords on other websites, e.g. for my yahoo account. Cheers, Schroedi |
