May i suggest developing a sort of (linux) "proxy server" for storing work data in a network? This should store work units for boinc clients in a network in order to avoid downloads during work.
Background: I want to separate the download of work units from times of work. Unfortunately my client machines are shut down immediately after work, so the time planning function is not useful. Even worse: the gateway system is up all day and has a dual ISDN connection. Download of work units at night is no problem, but the line must stay available during work hours. IIRC distributed.net had such a utility for linux. timbo |

Hello incredibletimbo,
Right now we are concentrating on projects and getting the current BOINC system running. Why not go to the BOINC site at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/ and see what is available that might meet your needs? mycrofth |
