Hi all im totally new here. I installed the software, all is ok and the primary task has been executed successfully. But now I got this message that "Agent is idle due to device profile" and I have no idea what da hell to do.
Any suggestions? Thanx! |

Have you tried to register more than once, and ended up with duplicate device names? That will mess things up. It is possible to register more than one computer for a member, but EVERY device name must be unique.
----------------------------------------Check your device manager under "My grid". If there is a duplicate name, just change one of them. Don't worry about any extras. They can not be deleted. Just keep the device names different. After some time has passed, one must remember to check all devices ever registered in the device manager. Click the "My Grid" button towards the top of this page and then select 'Device manager' over on the left hand side. This will show you what profiles you have set up - simply change the default to run all the time and make sure all devices are set to the default profile.

just curious, is this possibly related to setting for aids only and then the machiine does not have enough RAM?

You need 250Mb of memory for FightAids@Home and a 550MHz computer, since the workunits run longer on the average. My slowest computer is running Rosetta only.

Now its running again but its doing the same thing as when I first started it. Is that how its supposed to be? |

I don't think so. What kind of system is that and how much memory is on it?
