Couldn't connect to URL

Hi,
I just installed the BOINC manager in Gentoo Linux the other day via portage.
I was able to connect to Rosetta after doing a
rc-update add boinc default

and then adding the URL and key via the "Attach to new project" button.
Now I'm trying to add the WCG project and I keep getting this error message when I try to add WCG via the "Attach to new project" button:
Couldn't connect to URL http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/.
Please check URL.

Does anyone have any ideas on why it might not work?
Thx.

Re: Couldn't connect to URL

What BOINC-version are you running?

Since WCG uses https, you can't use v4 at all, but should use v5.2.6 or later.

Re: Couldn't connect to URL

Thanks Ingleside.

It looks like I installed v4.

eros joey # emerge boinc -pv

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild R ] sci-misc/boinc-4.72.20050813-r2 +X -server 0 kB

Total size of downloads: 0 kB

Hopefully a newer version will be in portage soon.

Thanks again!

If anyone is confused by the command above, check out http://www.gentoo.org
