I will be out of town for most of the next two weeks, so will probably miss my rollover date. Also, I didn't check the stats for a couple of days, come back, and see we have just SKYROCKETED! Thanks for the huge increase in CPU time, JMatthews, and I must say, you truly know how to make a grand entrance! |

Sorry to interrupt here, but the gay team is hereby cordially invited to participate in a genuine, old fashioned azz-kickin' in our next recruiting contest -- probably in June. Can you get up for it?

Thanks for the huge increase in CPU time, JMatthews, and I must say, you truly know how to make a grand entrance! Hey Boy. I took my time, but after looking around the teams, I figured I could best help out "FAMILY". I'm going to try and get another couple systems running this week before I go on vacation next week. For a whole week I'll probably be without access to the net... so I hope things keep crunching while I'm away!Besides... shouldn't entrances be both fashionably late and grand? -j |

yep - he's Gay <snap> ...and he's got me looking at obsolete blade servers on e-bay!!! however, the ten blade dual xeon 3.6 GHz (20 processor) Dell has me wondering if I have room for a $20,000.00 server My HP BL20p and HP BL20p G2 blades are doing their good share of work. They also keep my lab nice and warm! It's acutally much more comfortable in there now. The dual 208v 30A circuits do come in handy. I did get another 550 MHz 8-way system crunching today. That should be good for a few points. Now I'm searching for enough 700 MHz Slot-2 Xeons to make another 8-way. I found several... but I'm a litttttttle unsure about some of them. Some appear to be A0-steps... and if memory serves me correct, there were reasons why Intel didn't ship the A0-steps. It's been a few years so my memory is a little rusty. I've used most of the "fast" systems that I'm not using for "real work". I've found some of the older systems can be put to good use too. They may not make a lot of points, but being multi-proc, they do add up! -J |
