sound like you need an assistant. Yes. I nee an assistant... and a margarita (and perhaps the addy of Boy's web cam address!). I've had people moving into other positions and I'm trying to get lined up for new projects. I have fewer people do to A LOT more work. And.. it's just just new work, some of it is new kinds of work that we haven't done before. I'm also working on plans to move to a different building. The good news out of a 4 hour meeting this morning.... <insert screams here>... is that our move is delayed to early next year. That means I may get to keep crunching (for a few extra months) at or near my current level. This move has really brought to my attention how many people know so little about things like power, acoustic, and thermal requirements. Oh yeah... I could also use a vacation. - j |

I will buy you that margarita if you ever make it to San Francisco! I've never been to Cali. but SF is on my list of places I'd eventually like to visit. Too bad that's not going to happen any time soon though. ![]() - j |

...I've never been to Cali. but SF is on my list of places I'd eventually like to visit... You really need to go. SF is one of my favorite cities. Of course, where I live SF means Santa Fe. ![]() |

where I live SF means Santa Fe. I've never been to Santa Fe either.... well... not the one you are thinking of. There is a somewhat rural community of about 10,000 people an hourish away called Santa Fe where the majority of folks who..hmm.. how to say this.... hmm.. well, they don't agree with my views on a wide variety of subjects that affect my daily life. It's NOT on my list of places to visit. I do need to get out and travel more. I do sometimes enjoy that travel show on the logo channel. Anyone out there watch the logo channel? -j |

I've never even heard of the logo channel! We have different channels in the UK, but the same old junk showing on them. I find it amusing that merkins have to wait a whole year before they can watch Doctor Who. Finally! Revenge!

I've never even heard of the logo channel! I used to have cable TV, and it didn't get logo, but my satellite tv does. It has some good F A M I L Y shows on it. Ah... we are a year behing on watching the good Doctor. We are still watching the Christopher Eccleston episodes. I was disappointed to he he was only going to be on for one season. I kinda like him. I hope David Tennant is a good one. Still.... my favorite was Tom Baker. hehe At least I don't have to pay a yearly license to watch TV. -j |

Just imagine, for a second, TV without adverts. News without (much) bias. And the best news website in the world. I'm quite happy with the license fee.
The BBC provides 8 interactive TV channels, 10 radio networks, over 50 local TV and radio services and bbc.co.uk No adverts! I really hate channels with adverts. I don't mind good adverts, but they're rarer than hen's teeth. David Tennant's shaping up well. |

I have Logo at home, but my bf has the other satellite company so I don't get to see it much.
![]() ![]() I'm just glad the good Dr. is back! I really like Christopher Eccleston. He and Billie Piper (Rose) play very well off one another. We are a little behind, but at least we finally got to meet John Barrowman (Captain Jack). It's about time we get a companion that's fun to look at! Good to hear Tennant is shaping up. As a wee lad of eight, I lived in the UK for three years ('73-'76) so my first Dr. was Jon Pertwee. I can't wait to see this years episode where Elisabeth Sladen (Sarah Jane Smith) returns. |
