Hi all,
----------------------------------------I am new this forum/community as i search on internet today. Let's tell why I am here? Sure I am a aids victim in Cambodia as reported my country is fastest aids spread and rate in ASEAN. I know that is true, because not even me, but my some of my friend and relative died of aids. It will be my turn, but I dont know when. Anyway i dont care when i will? But I just doubp that this disease not come from ape or chimpazee in Africa, but it is made by the scientist in rich country. We would think that if that is come from any kind of monkey, how do they infected to human? because eating their flesh? Fornicating with them? Or just accidentially infected by chance as said "there was a American hunter who go to African for hunting, and he crashed with ape, then that infected with him" NONONO unbelievable. In my view, I think that Aids are made by scientist in America, then they purposed to spread it around the world to show the strong of that virus (HIV), now it sure it is strongest virus and will be killed 40 million people around the world, especially in poor and develop countries like Cambodia and Afircan. I know, scientist can do everything in the world, they can flight to moon, mar,... they can make computer (make iron and plastic to work from them).... they can clone animal and human..... there are alot of thing that they can do. BUT WHY THEY CANT FIND A MEDICINE TO CURE AIDS? because they dont want (or something behind). When people face with alot HIV carriers, then they start to sell life extend medicine hehehe for what? just for sell to whoever affortable to buy it (maybe rich people) what about other poor people? let's them die. I am sure they will release the medicine for curing aids after succeeding in bird flu spread from human to human, then let that virus kills human instead. Any I am not living for waiting aids cured medicine, I have to be strong for my life, even today I take a life extend medicine, but find alot of stuff regarding to cure aids through internet and herbal as well as natural cure. I am sure that alll thing will work, if we are strong enough to fight again it. Let try our best to regether to find the best way to resolved it and share it world wide. Warmest regards to all. How sad are you trying to blame people in the west for Aids they have nothing to do with it, its a natural disease what we are all trying in some way to combat, its easy for animals to pass on disease to us especially monkeys as they are related to us in a way.

It is possible that AIDS has been invented by the Americans as a Biological weapon, aimed at killing black people. So says a Nobel Laureate.
It is has come to light that one of the developed Middle Eastern countries has developed a biological weapon that can selectively kill people of other countries around it. Scientists are baffled that AIDS virus is the result of artificial combination of two viruses - Visna that creates a fatal disease in the sheep and HTLV-I that infects human beings without killing them. |

You guys are twisted. THis nonsense comes from not understanding something. And there is NO victim with HIV, unless you got hit by a car and was given bad blood. I also have HIV, I got it when I was 16 coz I didnt protect myself and thought with my penis, not my brain, I am not a victim, I was a protagonist coz I never took care of myself. So, dont make a victim out of this, thats being selfish, my family is going to hurt long after I am dead. So, if you wanna think about victimization, think of your family while you are still here and start living. But who the hell am I trying to kid? I got when I was 16, im 32 now. No one made me a victim, and I refuse to be a victim.

I'm not claiming to be an expert, but I've studied virology and HIV to quite a high level, and that's the first time I've heard any of that. For a start, HIV doesn't discriminate between people regardless of skin colour - so how can it be aimed at killing black people? Plus the first instances that occurred were within the white population of the USA, not in the Middle East. From what I've been taught (by a respected virologist, who has actually studied the virus itself), currently circulating HIV-1 strains suggest at least three transmission events have occurred. This just doesn't fit with the suggestion of lab-created virus - the human strains show high similarity, but enough difference. If this was a human-created virus all strains would show the same level of similarity. And anyway, the first transmission from animals to humans is thought to have occurred in the 1930s - long before Watson and Crick discovered the DNA double helix, let alone DNA technology! I really have huge sympathy for those who are infected, but the conspiracy theory is just another dreamt up by those who choose to beleive everything but the truth, like so many of these theories. The jump from ape to man was inevitable (and it's not as unlikely as you'd think). In the end, AIDS is a very real problem that needs to be adressed, irrespective of how exactly it came about. |

 What a strange ways of thinking. Why on earth would a scientist (or a gouvernment) from a 'rich' country make something like this?And it is even stranger to think that they made it to kill black people! There might as well be someone who flames that 'anyone' has developed it to kill homosexuals. It all makes no sense. And even *IF* they would develop such a weapon, I can imagine that there are much more effective ways to kill people instead of letting them walk around for years and years with their ups and downs and lots of suffering. And again *IF* it is man-made, than it should be possible to undo it anytime. I can't believe that some scientist can develop such a complicated organism which cannot be cracked by thousands of other scientists around the world. Since this project started, I'm realising that HIV/AIDS is a very controversial subject to some people. However I don't see the reason for this...   |

Are you suggesting that scientists that are a attempting to mutate bird flu to human flu as well accusing them of having created AID's? Zoonoses are very common and infection occurs people when they are in close proximity with animals. In the west it tends to be more farm and abbatoir works who are at risk as they have the greater contact. Where as in Asian countries where is common prictice even in large cities to buy meat on the hoof, keep it alive in the home fro a few hours or day and then slaughter it your self the risk is increased substantially. Simialrly in Africa. With Bird Flu the where at the moment is is only bird to human transmission, the risk is that the virus will enventually infect a human whi is infected with a human flu, and a mutation will occur. The 6 million dollar question is whether the virus will retain its virulence and cause a global pandemic thousands of deaths, or whether just a few runny noses. The thing about flu however is that we know how to create the vaccine, the question will be, will we beable to create the vaccine fast enough? I agree the urban myth of the hunter having intercourse with an ape is a bit far fetched, but there are many ways that one can be infected by the HIV, it is not a sexual transmitted diease per se, though sexual transmission appears to be the commonest route. It is quite possible that someone butchering infected meat, be it ape or sheep cut themselves, and the wound became contaminated, then as a result of mutation became a disease predominently of humans rather than animals. The big issue is that its urban myths such its God retribution on Homosexuals, that it is a disease of blacks and homosexuals, that sex with a virgin will cure it, that it can't be caught through hetrosexual sex, denial in some countries that they have homosexuals and therefore cannot have an AIDS problem, to name but have all added to the spread of AIDS. The greatest cure for AIDS is proper sex education, and education about AIDS, but whilst many groups suppress such education be for religious or cultural reasons or reasons of sheer prudishness and ingorance, hope must lie in finding affordable treatments for those who need it. It is projects like this one with openly shared results that will come up such affordable treatments |

Since this project started, I'm realising that HIV/AIDS is a very controversial subject to some people. However I don't see the reason for this... Agreed. I really don't understand how this project became such a controversial thing. I just think of it as help for humanity in general. AIDS has no discrimination on who it can infect, and I fail to understand why some will discriminate against getting rid of it... |

If folk don't want to run the HIV project..........just uncheck the damn thing and let those of us who are here to combat disease get on with it!!!

They did not aimed to kill black people only, but every people around the world who are week - Or i can say the world is for strong (rich, power, smart, clever) people only. If we are week, we can not live, even not infected with AIDS, but also there are many reason that cause human die. And even *IF* they would develop such a weapon, I can imagine that there are much more effective ways to kill people instead of letting them walk around for years and years with their ups and downs and lots of suffering. I dont think that is a weapon, but I am sure AIDS were invented, for a specific aim (behind). I think you all used to hear about UFO, then what happen now? there are many proof that claify UFO made by US govenment (they invented following Germany troop). They are happy to see people live with suffer and then die slowly, so it can kill as much as possible and noone to be blamed. And again *IF* it is man-made, than it should be possible to undo it anytime. I can't believe that some scientist can develop such a complicated organism which cannot be cracked by thousands of other scientists around the world. Sure they can (other scientist) but they are the same group or they are being threating to declare the truth. As know there are some scientist that can cure aids, but the dont want to spreat it.......One of them Dr. Clark, she has a book call "The Cure for All Diseases" and "The Cure for All of AIDS". If you are interested in her book you can search ebay. Hope we are discussing, not a war. All discuss should be possitive and negative, right? Sure I am the one strange. |
