My boxes crunched through three or four proteins yesterday. Today, both boxes appear to be repeatedly resetting over them or else not making much progress. After about 5 hours, my main system had achieved 3%, it's now back to 0%. Similiar stuff on my backup box.

Mine took 10 hours to determine its not possible to fold and then it restsarted, it was also stuck at 0.0%. Does it take so long to determine its not possible to fold?? And the worst thing is, it never credits us for unsuccessful CPU time for WU take can't complete..

This could be a problem with errors caused by system instabilities. Ram issues. Test your systems with a nice little program called prime95. Run the torture test for 24 hours. If you get no errors you are good to go. If you get errors then you might need to check your system specs, ram timmings, power supply, etc...

At least it's good to know taht I'm not the only one with this problem.
I've installed and started the agent on friday, 18th. It let the ol'box running up to about 2%. Next time I looked, it was back at 0%. Is this forum the only way to get informed about this matter or is there something like a News page, too? ---Dirk |

I'm getting the same problem and asiwth the others here I doubt it's anything to do with my computer, it's brand new and all my timings are set very conservatively. It would be nice if WCG could sort out such an obvious error. They're going to disillusion a lot of people.

Same here. Both of my systems are taking forever today, and they were fine on Friday. I also see that I have over 1000 points locally but only a few hundred if I look on the web site. I don't think it's the fault of all the local machines-- it has to be a global issue.
