Ok, it's me again (well, you probably just sigh and say *ohhhh nooooo* )
But Ok, I have now managed to Switch from the WorldCommunityGridAgent.exe to The BOINC 5.27 version (as I found a way to optimize the SETI client in that version also) Anyway, as this version should now be supported in the XML stats I expect to turn up on these in the next 24 hours. Yes I have gotten credit already. But what I wonder is that, as you can see the credits are completely different. Before with the World Community Grid Agent I only got these "Points" but now I of course will Get CobleStones as for all BOINC projects. But how will this affect my statistics page, will I have double statistics ? one for the points, one for the CS ? Will these CS WUs turn up on some own result page or similar ? Why doesn't WGC BOINC have a Results page where you can also see pending results, like all other BOINC projects have ? I'd appreciate some input on this |

Hi Crystallize,
Nice to hear from you again! Why doesn't WGC BOINC have a Results page where you can also see pending results, like all other BOINC projects have ? knreed, our database guy, says that this is a priority. We have the BOINC server up and running with all sorts of subsystems [validating results and awarding points, sending work units to members, receiving work units from members] but we still have not programmed the results page or the XML for Team Stats. We have a fast temporary work-around that multiplies awards by 7 and puts them in the UD points results page. But that only shows up after validation. All the points are stored in the database, but until we get the results page running I need a shelter to hide in. [Apprehensive Expression . . . maybe a Nervous Grin] We have been getting BOINC up and running at the same time we have been boarding FAAH and so we have made some compromises under time pressure. We are field testing BOINC on a well established project before we move FAAH to it and testing FAAH on a well established platform before we put it on BOINC. Tell your friends that your stats look peculiar for the moment because you are a pioneer! [Watch out for arrows from behind you!] mycrofth |

Yes, I noticed that I didn't get different credit on the BOINC and then something diffrent on the stats page. It's all good this far, except that I still haven't managed to add the project to the Mundayweb stats sig and this is really the hole point. ------------ Could not find your account ID in the XML stats... using HTML stats instead. The following errors occured: Could not connect to WCG server, please try again. (Hit refresh) ----------- How ever, I have turned up at the XML stats now, perhaps the Mundayweb stats need to be updated before it can find me on their data-base or I don't know... Also another thing, I have created a team for W.W.SETI@WCG but it doesn't show up on the BOINC application the way it use to for all other projects. See below. |

Might as well get all the bad news at once. The Team Stats will have to be programmed too. My guess is that knreed will give us the results page first, so people can see that their results have been returned and are awaiting validation.
The good news is that knreed says that the stats are a priority due sooner rather than later. Consolingly, mycrofth |

This is critical becuase it helps users participate effectively. The team stats is important (I know that we will not attract the same level of participation from the larger BOINC community until we have this in place) but things like boarding the FightAIDS@Home project to BOINC will have to be done first so BOINC team stats might not be for a bit. |
