Problems across a network

Hello World Community Grid,

I often use your client at my school, but since it's proxied, and the admins does not want to give os the bypass for the proxy we all end up with the same external IP, which creates quite a lot of trouble on you website, often we appear logged in as each other, very often i see my friends accounts in the top right corner, please fix this. It's a pain not being able to use your website at the school crying

Re: Problems across a network

Hello FrederickNS,
It sounds to me as though this is a byproduct of your school's security policies, but I am not an expert. Are we the only bulletin board that exhibit this problem?

Is there some group of bulletin boards that never exhibit this problem and another group that act like the World Community Grid?

What I am trying to find out is if this is a problem unique to us, or a problem that some boards have solved and others have not, or a problem that your school has with everyone.

Re: Problems across a network

I asked around the class-room, and there only was one other that created that problem, http://www.proboards.com/index.html, Any other boards we visit behaves perfectly, and not a single problem has occured for us.

Working boards includes phpbb, vBB, Invision BB, etc.

(NB! We're a very technological school, so we visit quite alot of boards all over the internet, but only yours and the proboards gives us problems
