Finnally after years without any Beta tasks or new projects, I pick just one today.
A new project was expected from WCG for years now. Hope that WCG staff don't give up or delay so much the lauch.       |

Hummm, my Beta test task will take almost 2 days runnig ... it is toomuch in my opinion for any kind of task...

Still running: BETA_BETA30_9800010_0357_1 CPU-time 141h31m03s Progress 69,27% ToGo 65h43m18s I see those units are showing progress so they must be check pointing also.. I had some in 9800010 series which stuck at 0.05% so I had to abort them. Apparently some of them may actually finish. I hope they do not up with "run out of memory" error. Cheers

Hummm, my Beta test task will take almost 2 days runnig ... it is toomuch in my opinion for any kind of task... Why? As long as it finishes before the deadline and validates, SPECIALLY for a Beta...Ralf |

My concern is Beta tasks that say they will complete in 17 minutes (or the latest one in 31 minutes) are taking 20 to 30 hours. One of my machines received 8 tasks. I have to stop 24 tasks to allow the 8 to complete in the deadline window. I expect some of the will miss the deadline. AKA: The deadline set is not realistic to the actual run time. .. By restricting top only 8 tasks the CPUs do not throttle and I think the L1 cache hit ratio increases . ..
I hope the team is looking at task that are projected to be finishing in the 17/31 minute window and take day(s) to complete. |

For my wingman of BETA_BETA30_9800010_0060_1 (Pending Validation) there is still hope.
I'm still running BETA_BETA30_9800010_0060_0 (9 days now) and another day to go.. Hopefully that workunit is not purged too. |
