just an FYI. i had some of my device profiles set up to only work on the proteome folding and when the new project was introduced it changed the settings to work on all projects.

Hello georgesisak,
Yes, this happened when we changed the server to activate the multi-project code. Until then, everybody was set up for Human Proteome Folding only. But you can switch back now and your choice will hold until the HPF project terminates.

Re: new project over rides device profile settings

The default profile can always be changed by WCG if something else comes along. Just leave the default with everything checked. It's easier.

If you want to run something specific, go into the device manager and set up some extra profiles of your own. I made two extra. That's all I need with only two projects active. I have one for my slow computer that only runs Rosetta. I have my fast computers set to only run Aids.

Multiple devices can be set to the same profile, and there's even a command in there to change all devices to the same profile. I did that first and changed everything to the profile set to aids, and then changed the devices on my slow computer one-by-one to the profile set to Rosetta, since there were fewer devices. It took all of about 5 minutes.

If the project mix changes, it's a simple matter to change the checkmarks on your profile. All devices using that profile will then grab the changed project with their next download(s).
