So i know this is probably going to be adressed and re-addressed but i wanted to make my suggestion since i know you guys listen.
AIDS is a large task (and im all for it) but i think that there should also be some very completable tasks (much like the proteome folding). That way we can also see how much "progress" we are making. (years is cool but a long list of completed projects also sounds awesome) multiple projects also sounds cool if you can just check a box or something and then alternate which workloads you do, so you can work on a big project and one that will be done soon. (or just pick the one you want to "finish first" Again i agree, why not tackle the mountain first; but sometimes a hill can be encouraging enough to keep you trekking. thoughts; ideas? concerns? (my only real concern would be that we are putting off an aids treatment option) |

Hi Shinobi Gaiden,
We are pursuing multiple projects, but it takes a long time to bring them to the stage where we can put them on our computers. If you look at Rosetta@home ( http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ ) you will read in the Message Board that they are improving the part of the Rosetta program that we will use for the HPF2 project. We intend to fold some selected proteins using the high-resolution method. And we intend to run some other projects. But we shall just have to see how many projects we can support simultaneously. ( I have already heard that they intend to let Rick Alther off work for Thanksgiving! ) mycrofth |
