Interesting stuff. I have been running 5.2.7 till day-before yesteday and then I upgraded to 5.2.8. Things went well. Now I just upgraded to 5.2.10. Am requesting new work now.
----------------------------------------I have had no real problems to speak of with this windows Boinc other than having to upgrade versions so frequently and the lateness of the work units being credited. But, as long as my work is contributing to the cause, I am quite happy to keep going. |

The BOINC site is constantly changing, but most of the updates just fix bugs that only affect a few people. As long as your version of BOINC works for you, there is no need to constantly update it.

I think I'll wait until the "new version race" slows down a bit... Then I'll try again!

I have had no problems at all since I have started leaving the WU's in memory whilst switching, I did run very low on virtual memory so I adjusted my swap space, no more errored out WU's on any projects including this one.

Since the release of these later Boinc Clients, I have been running multiple projects, Einstein, Primegrid, uFluids along with WCG for Windows (not the UD agent) and it's been smooth sailing. This is a great project, good science and excellent feedback and support by the admin's of this project. Some of the other projects can take a clue from the way the support guy's/gal's respond here.

After having waited a while, I gave it another go. I competed two WCG Rosetta 4.19 WUs without any problems. You've been doing something right over there
----------------------------------------Now I'm just waiting for FAAH to boad with BOINC before the really serious crunching will begin. |
