The other projects are sporadic, leaving MCM as the main project.
----------------------------------------If the majority of us crunchers are hammering away at MCM, how long until the project is completed? It must be years since I saw a Beta task so I guess there's nothing new in the pipeline, unless anyone knows differently? Regards, ![]() |

I hope one of the techs or scientists chime in, but there are a lot of different cancers out there to investigate, so I don't think there is any end in sight. The end may come when they either run out of money to continue the project, come to the conclusion this type of research is not bearing the fruit they anticipated or a cure or preventative for cancer is found.. I don't think there is an end in sight yet.

I remember we completed ovarian and switched to sarcoma a couple years ago, but after a News update from the team, we switched back to ovarian sometime in 2023 and are still there. I don't know when ovarian will be "finished" again or when sarcoma will be finished. Dr. Jurisica mentioned other cancer targets as well. I was hoping we tackle pancreatic next, since that one has a very high mortality rate.

Just recently I have been to two funerals of otherwise healthy people who died from pancreatic cancer. There was only about 6 months between the time they were diagnosed and the time they died. Getting diagnosed with this cancer is tantamount to a death sentence Cheers

Yes the field is large for research in cancer. And as it was revealed on last Pedriatic Cancer Day this month even the children cured in their early age must be on survey when they grow older around puberty. So what about SCC ?
----------------------------------------As well noticed pancreatic cancer and prostate cancer are not diagnosed sufficiently early..In France only breast cancer and colon cancer are on national screening campaign after 50 years of age. so let crunch ! ![]() |

I was getting sporadic WU's but thought it was my system and maybe the bigger packages were sent to the heavy lifters. I've been out of all WU's since midnight. Doesn't seem to be a central news thread where WCG can do a post only function for system-wide updates?

I'm leaving them off until someone posts about more work. |

I'm doing the same. Rather poor though that if all projects are w/o WU's, they had to know it and since it affects everyone they could have and should have put out news on that. WCG is a project I run but would not recommend to others based on my experience. Simply too muck lack of communication.
