Several users have requested additional details regarding the status of WCG's funding. Dr. Jurisica has provided a 2024 budget update on the Jurisica lab website. Please see the "Donations" tab for more details.

Thanks TigerLily!
----------------------------------------I believe the year is wrong in the title of this thread though. Should be 2024? :) ![]() Join The International Team: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=CK9RP1BKX1 AMD TR2990WX @ PBO, 64GB Quad 3200MHz 14-17-17-17-1T, RX6900XT @ Stock AMD 3800X @ PBO AMD 2700X @ 4GHz [Edit 1 times, last edit by ThreadRipper at Jan 17, 2024 10:22:12 PM] |

Love the details on that page. Thank you, TigerLily and Jurisica Lab team.
----------------------------------------Very happy the infrastructure part is covered for 2024, acknowledging there is still an operating deficit. It'd be really cool for some corporate sponsors/partners. At the bottom of the main Folding@home website, there's a list of corporate sponsors like Nvidia, Avast, ARM, AMD, Microsoft, PureStorage, VMWare, Oracle, Neocortix, AWS, Intel. I wonder if some of the big players would be willing to also partner with WCG.

Hi ThreadRipper,
Thanks for pointing that out. I guess I am not used to writing "2024" yet! |

I really appreciate Dr. Jurisica putting this request into practice. THANK YOU!
----------------------------------------My hope is with this transparency and information, it will spur and provide confidence for the members to make small and periodic contributions to the project, both to keep this going, as well as pushing forward the research in cancer and other areas that WCG tackles. Edit: The page is very well done. But one final suggestion. Update the link on the "Donations" tab of the World Community Grid webpage, so it takes the person directly there. That way, it will have maximum visibility.

Hi Paul Schlaffer,
----------------------------------------Thanks for this feedback. I think you are referring to the "Donate Monthly" link, which has an intermediate instructions page before redirecting you to the donation page. The reason we have included this intermediate page is to ensure that users are aware of how to fill out the donations form so that donations are directed to WCG rather than UHN as a whole. We have suggested to the UHN foundation that direct monthly donations to WCG should be an option on the drop-down menu, but we have not been offered a solution to this issue yet. If I've misunderstood what you are referring to, please let me know so that I can clarify any questions and share your feedback with the team! Hi Tiger Lily,
----------------------------------------No, the suggestion was instead of the clicking the Donations main link and it taking the person here: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/donations That it takes them here: https://www.cs.toronto.edu/~juris/jlab/wcg.html Both I accomplish the same ability to donate once the user clicks on the Donations tab on the 2nd link. However if someone doesn't see the link from the "News" part of the forum, this new page won't have any visibility. That 2nd page has all the important selling points and information.
