Hello,
----------------------------------------I know that the MCM project has published numerous papers. I am curious. Have any of these papers been applied in clinical use? Have the results influenced the diagnosis or care of someone? In other words, has this project helped save lives? I ask because I would like to know if there have been concrete results or if everything is still theoretical. I want to stress that I am not making any judgements here. Like I said, I am just curious how far along this work has gone. Mark [Edit 1 times, last edit by mwroggenbuck at Jan 8, 2024 12:37:58 PM] |

Based on everything that has been posted by the project, the answer is no.

some researchers might consider the elimination of millions of non-starters as important as a group probable hits. Don't kown if the bean-counters would go out of their way to emphasize it. Again..no judgement implied.

Hi mwroggenbuck,
Sorry for the delay in responding to this! From the current MCM runs, the work on analyzing results is still in progress. For example, see the most recent update on lung cancer biomarkers. However, the team's research has led to various publications over the years. MCM's work surrounds identifying cancer biomarkers, and it can take many years for this research to shape clinical practice. |

Thank you for the reply.
----------------------------------------I suspected things were still at the theoretical and investigative stage for the current work. As you pointed out though, several publications have been produced over the years. Have any of these earlier published results been used in clinical practice? Again, thanks for the response about current work.. Mark [Edit 4 times, last edit by mwroggenbuck at Jan 16, 2024 12:51:34 PM] |

Hi mwroggenbuck,
MCM work completed through WCG has not been implemented into clinical practice yet. However, some of the Jurisica lab's other work on biomarkers has had an impact on clinical practice. |

Excellent news!
Keep up the good work! It would be nice to live in a world where cancer was easily treatable. Maybe this is a step in that direction. Thanks for the response. I will stop pestering you now. ![]() Mark |

mwroggenbuck -- A few years back, Chiba Cancer Center in Japan announced they'd narrowed a list of molecules down to (7) potential drugs to help defeat childhood neuroblastoma based on the work done at WCG. They published their work and at that time were looking for a potential pharmaceutical partner.

It had a high effective rate and outperformed the AstraZeneca vaccine. https://www.ipd.uw.edu/2022/06/covid-19-vacci...ins-full-approval-abroad/ -- There are others, but the above two immediately came to mind as far as how our efforts are helping mankind.
