Hello! Could someone help me with this error? What is "process exited with code 255"? This device never had issues before this error.

This device never had issues before this error. - Did the other task(s) in the workunit run successfully? - Is the RTX A4500 having issues constantly now with all GPU-tasks? Adri |

Have you checked to see if Einstein is having a similar problem? If I've matched up the machine spec properly there appear to be a few recent Errors on Meerkat tasks...

I've found one answer: the tasks that were part of this workunit.

See:
https://boinc.mundayweb.com/wiki/index.php?ti...d_with_code_255_(0xff,_-1) "This error happens when libraries required to run BOINC or the applications correctly are on the wrong path. Happens mostly on Linux. Correct the path in which BOINC or the application can check and the error will fix itself." |

Thank you all for the advice! I won't be back in front of the computer until Monday. Although I wouldn't think so, would running MPS cause this? I did implement this recently.

Was this a one off or did you have a whole string of them ?

String of them. I think the "clump" of them that was sent at one time all ended this way. I will have a chance confirm this tomorrow though.

I was able to look through my results. This is happening on all the machines that I implemented MPS on. I am not saying I have a full understanding of MPS, but why would these tasks not be compatible with MPS? I was under the impression that MPS should work with any CUDA work? Even if the work unit didn't connect to the MPS server, it should just run normally? This is odd to me.
Funny thing is I would just change the setting from here to stop accepting these tasks, but I just keep getting "Unfortunately, an error occurred while processing your request."... Looks like there will be some resends thanks to me. Sorry for failing these tasks but not much I can do until Monday since I can't stop accepting these work units. |

Re MPS server :
----------------------------------------Ian&Steve C. posted about MPS and OpenCL over on Einstein Apparently it's for [true] CUDA only (blocking OpenCL), and WCG NVIDIA tasks are OpenCL, as is the non-Beta Linux Meerkat app at Einstein.
