2023-12-04 Update (Scheduler issue resolved)
WCG is back up as our tech team worked with the data centre to resolve the scheduler issue. The data centre has applied a fix that will prevent this issue from occurring again.

Now, please remind the tech team about the not working Device Profile updating.

That looks like a connection error, which is important but unrelated to the error that dropped the whole system for days.

The connection errors tend to happen when a lot of people connect to WCG at once, like during mass downloads and uploads after a server fix. If you're still consistently getting problems, I'd make a new post.

All of this indicates that you just attached to the project and are downloading the screensavers and pictures associated with the WCG projects, but not any actual work units!

After being unable to report hundreds of thousands WUs from the last few days and at the same time downloading new work will make the system naturally unresponsive. It took on a couple of mine up to half an hour after reporting WUs to get new work, at least for MCM1...
