I can confirm that the problem is back again, after more than a month of fully working Device Profile Update function.

WCG TEAM, please fix this before you leave for the weekend.

I forwarded this issue to a member of the tech team earlier today and they are investigating the issue. I will share any updates they provide as they work to identify and resolve the problem.

Are there seriously NO techs on duty on the wekends? This is nothing more than a recurring problem and is seemingly easily fixed, WHY can't it get fixed on weekends too?

Because WCG and the datacenter they use (SHARCNET) don't have the resources for tech support outside 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

Then this is why WCG is less than a shadow of it's former self. I used to work for a Government Agency that had over 10k pc's and they were half a heartbeat away from running over 90% of their pc's after work hours every day, part of the reason they did not do it was because of the down time!!

Do they really think people will stay around to get their 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 year badges if they can't get work or get the webpage to accept the changes they want to make when they want to make them? Krembil should be able to get after hours access to one or two senior techs to the WCG database and website settings.

This morning I tried to update my Device Profile by changing a setting. After clicking 'Save' this error message appears: "Unfortunately, an error occurred while processing your request. You can try again or you can Contact Us and tell us about the error."

Afterwards, after checking the device profile again, nothing has changed indeed.


Me too. I tried yesterday and just recently today.

And now again tonight, East Coast US time, I can't update my Device Profiles to do any crunching except gpu crunching and I'm doing very little of it. I WANT to crunch more cpu tasks but my current profile settings do not allow that!! They had all day long to fix this and now we are part way into a 2nd day of not fixing it still.
