Long time user of Boinc. Had a break for about a year, due to storage issues in a old computer. Now have a new PC, with plenty of storage. So back to running Boinc.
I have noticed that some units are taking ages to process. How long should a unit take to process? I currently have 3 that are over 2 days and they still have 3 days to go. If the units finish in 3 days, they will go past the due date/time. Is this right? |

A new PC should not take over a day to process a single WU.
Can you please give general specs of your PC? More importantly, can you list the name of the WUs that are taking over two days? |

Give your computer restart and see what happens. Tasks should start from the last saved checkpoint. Since I don't know what your running I would say anything over 3.5 hours is too long.

If it is a laptop and you are running multiple threads, it may be a heat problem which would cause throttling. ARP units should take 12 to 24 hours to process depending on your system. MCM and SCC should take a couple of hours at the most to complete. Cheers
