allstondave here reporting for duty. It seems pretty friendly over here, Not like at FaH  I think I'll stay for a while and see how it goes. Have both machines running WCG and am starting to see some results. Thanks to our leaders who showed us the way, I was so bummed about UD, and then FaD, and didn't like FaH. I think I'll be comfortable here. I didn't just build my new computer to crunch, but that was a major factor in my decision to build it. And to get the necessary stuff to have both machines running on line. So I hope my efforts will, here, will lead to something good! allstondave I think most of us were bummed for a while there but this is a good place with great potential. It's also nice that there are choices for people who may want to direct their efforts to a particular area of crunching and I believe there will be more than the current two options in the future. The upcoming cancer project seems to be guaranteed. I know WCG would also really like some kind of climate project.
It's going to take a while for the people doing the research to find WCG. When FAAH and HPF start to produce some concrete results, other really good projects will come and beat the door down. Of course, WCG have some requirements of their own. We don't crunch just anything, here :-D What's FaD? |

Nice to see some new faces here.Troy I am not the leader type, nor very talkative.  Didactylos fad was the now defunct Find A Drug project. Taken from their home page... "After more than 68 billion molecules and nearly 300 protein queries have been processed the Find-a-Drug has closed and no further results are being accepted."
