There has been considerable cry for member statistics, but I miss project statistics more. It would be nice to know how projects in which I am interested are proceeding even if I am not getting the appropriate WUs. Please work on providing this information as well.

Re: statistics

This is something which IBM abandonned some years ago. Most projects are open-ended so only the project scientists know (if anyone) sometimes it only ends when someone puls the plug on funding at the University. Then they only showed when a project had recently started or was in full stream or in end phase (last 30 days).

However, ARP1 has a specific target which is generation 182. That completes a full year of weather. I am providing the statistical information on progress there in my Sunday Reports in Work Available. Once the flow stabilises those reports will once again include a forecasted end date. I expect to start that in May. Currently there are 1,647,857 units to go, each of which has to be crunched at least twice.

I agree.
I also attempted to track the progress of MCM for a time, but being as it is also open ended, I eventually abandoned the effort. I did ask if there was a potential scope to the project, but the answer I received indicated the scope was a moving target based on a number of factors such as the efficacy of the approach, funding, availability of obtaining and retaining appropriate staff, the development of analytical tools and assessments of obtaining the scientists' ability to obtain their goals given their resource restraints. So be it.
Hope springs eternal that the fruits of this labor come to fruition at some point in time and limit this scourge for humanity.
Cheers

Re: statistics

The same for OPN1. Threadripper and I started tracking OPN1 but forecasting was only possible for the first phase. Then they said there another phase which was unspecified and the prospect of more and then there was OPNG started so we couldn't forecast an end date.

Re: statistics

I understand the lack of a percent complete report. I was missing the results returned per day list.

Re: statistics

These are produced soon after noon GMT (UTC):

https://download.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc...rp1_stats/generations.txt
https://download.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/download/arp1_stats/state.txt
https://download.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/download/arp1_stats/completed.txt

From <https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg...ead,41910_offset,1600>

Is that what you were missing? The first list those validated by generation.

If you want the returns each day then you can find them on the website under Community > Projects > Project Name

Re: statistics

If you can't open the first one by clicking on because of the abbreviation then insert the download etc from the other lines.

Do you mean the various project links at https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewProjects.do? To "click" to get to them you can click on Projects (under Community in the left-hand side menu)

There's also a Global statistics page, which has the same list of project links under the global stats;
this is also accessible via the Community sub-menu.

Cheers - Al.

Re: statistics

A thankyou to all who tried to help. I cannot find the next step after going to projects, I have saved the URLs given in your post to a bookmark in my browser. I thought the info I was seeking was displayed on the active project pages previously.

If you click on the 4 bars on the top left of the screen next to the WCG logo, you will find a line saying Community. Clicking on that you get several extra lines appear, one of which is an extra Projects line. Click on that you will find a list of projects - this is different from the projects under My Contribution.

Once you find that list, clicking on a project will give lots of statistics for that project. Part way down you will find Project statistics history. Click on the time frame you want. 14 records means the last 14 days, etc.

I believe that is what you are looking for.
