Since the inception of the Linux client, I have migrated some of my Windows clients to Linux. I am seeing a clear decrease in time to complete a work unit. I have had many work units complete in the 45-50 minute time range since November 2nd but I suspect I am not getting credit for some because they are not being validated. My question is there a way for me to track whether a work unit that I have completed and transmitted has been validated or thrown out because of the inability to be validated for whatever reason? I'm thinking that something might be broken with the work units which are completing very quickly and I'd like to find out.
Thanks, dreplogle |

dreplogle,
At this time there is not a way for you to check this. We will be implementing a page in the future where you will be able to view the status of results returned. I looked into the results returned and you currently have 7 results waiting to be validated. Other then those 7 results you have 148 that have been credited to you (you will see 146 when you login - there are 2 more that you will see after the stats run next). You have two results that failed immediately (ran for 0 seconds) that we are investigating. Your computers look like they are running well and generating good results. If you have further questions, please feel free to use the contact us feature and I can answer any specific questions. The Linux results were built smaller becuase BOINC can cache multiple workunits at one time. By making them smaller it allows 'lessor' computers to be able to return results in a reasonable timeframe which improves the flow of work on and off the grid. thanks, Kevin |
