AM5 socket and DDR5 so not an upgrade CPU for a slower AM4 motherboard machine, if we can use the word slow.

Hi. I'm thinking about getting a Mac Mini. The M2 model has just been released. Does anyone know if the M2 does more PPD compared to the M1? I am trying to work out if it is worth the extra money. Thank you.

I recently purchased an M2 Mac Mini - efficient little guy. No noise, no heat. 100% CPU.
----------------------------------------I seem to be getting mostly MCM project work, and I'm averaging 58K points per day and 92 results. [Edit 1 times, last edit by daichi at Jun 19, 2023 6:12:02 AM] |

I seem to have somehow found a really efficient build. I bought a Lenovo Legion 7 gaming laptop for gaming and other stuff. It has a Ryzen 5800h in it. If I put the laptop into silent mode it limits the CPU to 25w and around 2.8ghz on 8 cores. I'm getting between 100k and 120k PPD. When not doing anything it uses between 30 and 35w from the wall.
