Change in Points For Linux

At this point in time there have been 722 Linux computers that have received points. This has allowed us to conduct a much more thorough analysis of the points being granted to Linux agents and Windows agents then was possible during alpha and beta testing. It was determined that the uplift of 10 times the BOINC credit was too much of an uplift. A better value is 7 times the BOINC credit. As a result all new points received by Linux agents from here going forward will be awarded 7 times the BOINC credit earned. Existing earned points are not being modified.

Information about how points are granted to Linux agents is available here:

Re: Change in Points For Linux

Yes, I was wondering why my AMD XP 2800+ was out pointing my AMD A64 4000+. The 2800+ is on Linux and the 4000+ is on Windows.
