bfmorse, Did you find that the results between the two names (old and new) get merged without issue? Judging from your comment, that seems to be the case, but wanted to verify that info. Yes, the device name changed in Results for all the WUs. The device name did not change in Devices. That needed to be updated manually. Did you have any WU's in progress when you renamed the device? Yes, all the WUs completed successfully after the device rename. Should I clear all WU's from the device BEFORE I rename it? I do not want to create unnecessary work for other volunteers. You should not have to clear all the WUs before the device rename. But it wouldn't hurt if you just want to be safe. Please report back with your findings. I would be interested to know if the new device name gets updated in Devices. AgrFan I have renamed three of my smaller systems and they appear in the RESULTS listing - now we wait and see how long the system takes to: 1) recognize the newly named device 2) merges the newly named system with the original named system. 3) a quick look SEEMS to indicate that the device ID remains the same. BUT have not verified that yet. |

@Cyclops I have just upgraded the OS on my laptop from Mint 20.3 to Mint 21.1 and the system has decided that they are two different machines. I cannot find the host ids but they are both called edwin-ThinkPad-L540. The new one does not show up in the list but could they be merged back into one device please. <hostid>8697989</hostid> Mint21 Not showing up on my device page. Other things happening strange doesn't like to download tasks. I can see them appear in Transfer tab. Ten they completely disapear. A small handful does make it through. The problem is not on your end. For some reason the supply of work units has pretty much dried up. The only projects with work units are MCM and SCC and for the moment they are not available either. The TB project has not had work units for a long time and the supply of OPN units is scheduled to run out soon if it has not done so already. Africa Rainfall units are few and far between.
