ANd yesterday the website and forums crashed. I didn't keep tabs on how long it lasted, nor where it started, but it was a thing. Yeah, got 503 errors too, but only for about 5 minutes or so, then a reload on all pages I tried (Contribution overview, Results and forum) worked fine, so this was apparently a real "transient" http error due to some work on Krembil's side...Ralf |

Getting small numbers of OPNG WUs daily now but the downloading problem has returned !!!!!!

It looks like the whole WWG requires a lot more IT resources and financing than what Kembril thought it would need.

That said, with this situation, IMO, serious individual projects would have to acquire their own Boinc servers if they want to have any type of results in a timely framework. Would help if each OPNG WU didn't need to d/l 4 or 5 files for it...not sure why they don't pack those together and let them unpack on the hosts. Heck, OPNG already does a crapload of writes to the drive anyway lol.
