I want to hire a freind to do some work for me as a 1099 agent. Anyone know how to go about that with a Canandian? Neither of us has done any work with anyone from another country and I can't afford to do this "off the books".

Thanks for the info. Turns out nothing is needed if the person does not make over a certain amount. We may deduct it with just his address.
