Re: Results submitted now showing up in Contribution Overview

Nothing to be done on your end; the Krembil folks are aware of the issue and are working on it.

Any ETA on by when it will be solved?

No.
Only response so far is that the issues "is on their radar". It's been three months so far... sad

Re: Results submitted now showing up in Contribution Overview

Good news! I just noticed results today in my contribution section. Now we wait for them to backfill all the completed work from before today! Then I'll be really happy! I'm tired of looking at boincstats.com because it's so wildly different from my World Community Grid historic results (not just the 7x factor) on a per day basis.

Cheers!

Re: Results submitted now showing up in Contribution Overview

Yes, they're at least trying to restart the contribution sections, I've also seen life in the "My Contribution/Overview" page, the "My activity over time" graph, as well as the "My Contribution/History" page. Let's see if they actually will be able to backfill from the date when WCG restarted with Krembil/Jurisica Lab. I musty say, that I seriously doubt that they will be able to do that.

I stupidly deleted my screenshot with the project numbers at the time of the shutdown the other day, so it's a bit hard to be more precise. While I see for example for MCM1, the number of returned WUs as changed (increased) but most certainly, the runtime has NOT, as otherwise, I should have reached 90y on that project.
Also, in the summary further at the top, it is still stuck at a WCG wide runtime total of 569 years, with 8 days shy of 570, which should be around 575//576 years.

Too bad that I can't recall the exact numbers per project, but right now it looks like it only added those WUs and its credit that are currently in the Results. And everything from June through beginning of this week, as far as WUs have not been purged from the Results, is still missing, and until proven otherwise, I still think that all that data is still lost... sad

Also just realized that the "Activity over Time" graph starts at 0 (zero) on 9/27, that's probably the earliest day that data is still in the results after the earlier ones have been purged...

Re: Results submitted now showing up in Contribution Overview

I'm running wcgstats, saving the statistics in a logfile each day, and until today the data, except the date, never changed for several months, as it kept showing:
2022-09-25T12:06:03+0000	232:296:09:38:34	854	993282551	240	2566850	148
2022-09-27T00:06:03+0000 232:296:09:38:34 854 993282551 240 2566850 148
2022-09-27T16:03:43+0000 232:296:09:38:34 854 993282551 240 2566850 148
2022-09-29T00:06:03+0000 232:296:09:38:34 854 993282551 240 2566850 148

Today, all my numbers have gone up (runtime, points, results):
2022-09-29T20:42:34+0000	232:339:03:35:08	854	997086140	240	2567690	148

(Runtime has increased, although number of years stayed the same;
points (not credit) went from 993 mln to 997 million;
number of results rose 840.)

According to the Boinc Manager and the files ~boinc/client_state.xml, ~boinc/sched_reply_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.xml and ~boinc/statistics_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.xml (in the field <user_total_credit>), my credit is more than 150,000,000, which (if you multiply by 7) should be more than 1,050,000,000 points.
There's some catching up to do, I guess. Let's hope all goes well.

Yes, there is some movement, it seems some of the data currently in the Results has been added, though not sure what the time frame is that got added.
My overall contribution had the total runtime pass the 570 year mark, after it added roughly 11 days to the total, which is likely not even half of what my hosts currently produce (should be roughly 50 days of runtime per calendar day when WUs are freely flowing as they have this week).

I am still skeptical though if we are going to see the results/runtime/points from the WUs returned from June throughthe start of this week, as I mentioned before this is about another 5 years of runtime and additional 20,000 WUs that my hosts have returned since I started to download the history.txt file once or twice a day since 8/23...

But it looks like we might finally see day light at the end of the tunnel and not that fright train... tongue

Ralf - I've checked as best as I can, and it appears that all that has happened is that the missing stats runs have been re-enabled and it has accrued history for 2022-09-29 (and a few minutes of 2022-09-30[1]). The numbers in the history for that date appear to tally with what I think validated on the 29th (once I've converted points back to BOINC credits...)

I don't know whether Adri actually did that check or not? I suspect some option of his script can give him a day's statistics summary :-)

Your scepticism about whether they'll be able to provide the back-fill may yet turn out to be justified, of course. Even it they have the data, doing the back-fill will be a non-trivial exercise if it has to be based on the db_purge XML outputs (as mentioned elsewhere ), and is unlikely to be a quick process :-(

Cheers - Al.

[1] I had one solitary MCM1 result validate at 00:04 UTC on 2022-09-30, which meant it crept into the initial history for 2022-09-30 when the stats run started (at 00:06 UTC if they're following the same timings IBM used...). And yes, the run time and points matched the figures provided by the results API...

Yeah, I think it's one of the two times a day that the internal stats are being updated (here in SoCal, it usually 5-6am and 5-6pm), but I think with a full load of WUs, my currently active hosts will accumulate about 50 days of runtime, so half a day would be closer to +20 instead of just 11. But we'll see once there have been multiple of those stats runs.
I don't know whether Adri actually did that check or not? I suspect some option of his script can give him a day's statistics summary :-)
Have not had much time the last couple of days due to RL issues, both at work and private. But I hope that I can run some stats over the data that I have collected since 8/23, which also would include a daily tally, just not sure right now how far I got as that was where I left off on enhancing my previous version...And doing the stats from here on onward would also help to confirm or dispel my hunch that one of the WCG projects is having a mixup with the differences between WCG points and BOINC points.
Your scepticism about whether they'll be able to provide the back-fill may yet turn out to be justified, of course. Yeah, I read that but I am not sure if that produces the data we would need for individual user&project stats. I seem faintly to remember that knreed/uplinger had to take precautions when there was a prolonged outage in the past to preserve data past the purging time point. We will see. The interesting part now that those stats are "mostly" working, I noticed that the "Activity over time" when looking at the last year, it has per project/per day data up until the shutdown. So that would require less data than the raw results of every result returned... confused
