Hey there:
----------------------------------------Would it be possible to make server status available to the public in xml form? Example server status page: https://einsteinathome.org/server_status.php And what I do with the data: https://grafana.kiska.pw/d/boinc/boinc?orgId=1&var-project=einstein Example of the graphs I generate: https://server8.kiska.pw/uploads/7554589195220e7a/image.png ![]() |

Any changes in the server's status will be communicated with everyone, through forum posts, social media, articles, etc. so don't be worried about missing crucial news. |

I don't think they understood the request..... I don't think so either. I don't think Cyclops is familiar with BOINC. I actually requested a server status page too, although before Cyclops came in... |

This is going to be difficult going forward. I guess we will need to train the Krembil staff. It doesn't bode well for onboarding new projects.

The server status page not only shows that the server is up but also shows the status of each of the software components, the number of WUs waiting to be sent out, the number out for processing, the number waiting for validation … |

Unfortunately I don't think my post conveyed the requisite knowledge. In the context I am requesting server status page, its a page available in all BOINC projects BOINC server documentation Basically its an updating page that shows the statuses of daemons and the state of the database(counts of tasks, workunits, user count, etc). This page is available in either HTML(so a user can read it in nice tables) or xml. I am requesting the xml version since I can ingest this into influxdb where grafana can query it and make pretty historical graphs For example the Rosetta@Home server status page has the statuses of the daemons, the number of tasks ready to be sent out, tasks in progress, workunit counts(assimilation, deletion, validation), the transitioner backlog, user count(with credit, with RAC, registered in the last 24h), computer count(with credit, with RAC, registered in the last 24h and current compute performace) and tasks by applcation count(unsent, in progress, runtime statistics(avg, min and max) and how many users ran said app). For my example for Rosetta, it gets updated once per hour ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by kiska at Jul 7, 2022 7:24:26 PM] |

Oh, thanks for clarifying! I will still relay this to the rest of the team.

Just a note that some projects have a separate BOINC site from the main site. However, WCG wouldn't use the BOINC provided forums and a good portion of the options normally provided through the BOINC softwarle probably though.

I am guessing no progress has been made towards making the database states available to us? ![]() |
