I downloaded the linux agent and followed the instructions and tried to execute it but recieved a message that it couldn't read from stdin. So I removed the script and went to go download it again from the site, thinking it was corrupted. Except now the site won't let me download it again.. I am always brought back to the same page where it shows me the account key and instructions..
What does one do in such a situation? |

I don't know why you can't download the boinc agent again. But you can try to download it from
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php (I can download boinc twice from the wcg pages) |

areplogle,
Please try the following: Log into the computer you want to install BOINC on. Change to the directory that you want to install it in. Run the following command: wget http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_5.2.6_i686-pc-linux-gnu.sh Then run: chmod 700 boinc_5.2.6_i686-pc-linux-gnu.sh Then run: ./boinc_5.2.6_i686-pc-linux-gnu.sh let us know what happens. If you encounter errors, then can you cut and paste what you were doing into this thread? thanks, Kevin |
