I don't know as I'd run more than 1 wu on a card of that age..
Check and see how much memory it's using while working (both card and system).
Could be you need to free up more CPU's and/or memory.

Speaking only for myself, that wasn't the problem. I was only trying to run one GPU task at a time on a Ryzen 3700X with 32GB of RAM and I was only running 5 CPU tasks at the time. I was also using the latest AMD display drivers for the card from 2015. Replacing the HD 6670 with the even less powerful (but much more recent) GeForce GT 1030, I've had no problems with any GPU tasks.
