Hi
Is there a known way to speed up the BOINC startup apps in Windows? Or entirely circumvent the startup apps. There should be a way for BOINC to load only as the screen saver starts. The two have high and medium impact on startup, translating to 5 - 10 minutes delay in startup, and sometimes severe hiccups at start. Inactivating both makes startup a breeze. I had posted that on Win 10 systems with older slower CPU's that I was not seeing start up delays of that length. I questioned did he have a Anti-virus application that was aggressively scanning BOINC at every start up ? Bill F   |
