Is Mapping Cancer Markers still alive?

Hello MCM Forum

Please forgive my bluntness: Is this project still alive? I seem to still be getting work units. Can someone please help point me to where I can find some recent project updates for my warm&fuzzy positive "pat on the back" buzz?

I need that buzz.

Thanks

You can find the news section at the top of every page.
There you can filter through what you want.

The most recent MCM update is from mid-November 2021.

Re: Is Mapping Cancer Markers still alive?

WCG has slowed monthly updates - no need to overdramatize it with "is it still alive?" The MCM team is also running the Grid now, probably only makes things harder. Hopefully things stabilize this month/next, as the transition presumably continues/wraps.

Re: Is Mapping Cancer Markers still alive?

Thanks, Falconet - was hoping for something a bit more recent for use in my feeble efforts to harvest more converts (and keep the current ones sweet). I suppose it's a slow time of year, and (as pointed out elsewhere) the transition is complicating things.

I will need that buzz eventually, of course.

Re: Is Mapping Cancer Markers still alive?

The fact that the MCM team have taken over WCG is indicative that MCM will be going for a long time.

Re: Is Mapping Cancer Markers still alive?

The last update is Nov 18, 2021 , so i guess it would not be too much to ask for an update?

Re: Is Mapping Cancer Markers still alive?

In the past 13 days from 01/24/22 there have been 15,725,639 results processed. Works out to be 1,209,664.53 per day (no rounding)
I look forward to hearing in an update whether or not there is any idea of a finish line. Reason being because the pace of the project has picked up peace considerably.

Re: Is Mapping Cancer Markers still alive?

Please bear in mind that this is the team that have rescued WCG. They have a lot of work to do to take that on board in addition to the MCM work. I suspect that there are a lot more types of cancer to go so don't expect it to finish any time soon

I think it has years to run if not decades.

Re: Is Mapping Cancer Markers still alive?

Thank you all for your support.

WCG migration does occupy us a bit longer than originally anticipated.

We will update shortly on both WCG overall (the main priority now) and MCM progress.

thank you
