Device gets tasks from deselected project only

Hi all,

I have selected the following projects in the Default profile that is used by all devices:
- Help Stop TB
- Mapping Cancer Markers
- Smash Childhood Cancer

Also, I have selected the option "If there is no work available for the project(s) I have selected above, please send me work from another project.".

Strangely, since November 19 2021, one of the devices has been getting tasks from the "OpenPandemics - COVID-19" project only.

The device in question has 4 logical cores and 2GB memory.

Any help fixing this would be appreciated.

HST is very intermittent, so no surprise there.
MCM is readily available so there must be a problem at your end.
SCC hasn't been available for months,
ARP is available but needs a higher spec than you have.
OPN is the only one left.

You don't say.
That's why I posted this thread.

Maybe I should add that the affected device (and 2 other very similar ones without that problem) are running Ubuntu 20.04 without GUI.

Re: Device gets tasks from deselected project only

Do you crunch any other projects other than WCG? If you modify the default or other profiles at the other projects they will become the profile at WCG. Have you verified that all of your machines are still assigned the default profile and that the settings are still intact as desired. This has bitten me more than once....

Could you post the Boinc Log?
Maybe the affected Device has an other profile?

Re: Device gets tasks from deselected project only

The profile is the default one, used by all devices.

I found the problem in the file `/var/lib/boinc-client/sched_reply_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.xml`:

<message priority="notice">Mapping Cancer Markers needs 87.43MB more disk space.
You currently have 412.57 MB available and it needs 500.00 MB.</message>

Previously the host system of this BOINC VM used to have only very little disk space, so I created a precariously small disk for the VM, which was running full. I cleaned up a bit, so the next scheduler request should get MCM tasks again.
