According to the Overview page, my streak is 11d, which means I supposedly didn't deliver results on the 11th of November. However, the charts and the history show that there was no interruption.
Do the streak and the chart/history count the same thing, or is there a difference in terms of which day a result counts towards (e.g. return date vs. validation date)? Could there be an issue if results are not validated on the day they were delivered? Screenshots from today, 2021-11-22: Streak ![]() Graph ![]() History ![]() |

The charts and the history record are a record of when your results were validated.
The streak is based on you returning a result each day (i.e. when it was returned - not when it was validated). The idea is that you have control over when your result was returned whereas you don't have control over when you result is validated. |

Thanks knreed for the explanation.
It would be nicer if all the stats refer to the same thing so they look more consistent. And taking the streak from what I can control (return time) obviously makes sense. The question is, could the graph and history also be calculated based on the return date? Or are there other dependencies that don't allow that? |

I think the problem is that, for one reason or another, results may not get validated.
'Don't count your chickens before they are hatched' would be an appropriate saying. Mike |

Until the results have been validated they don’t know how many credits to award so they cannot add them in. That's clear. However, if I returned a result yesterday and it gets validated today, the credits could in theory still be added to yesterday's total. However, that means that credits for a certain day might change days or weeks afterwards, and I imagine that this is something they want to avoid, with all the statistics exports and third party sites... |

Until the results have been validated they don’t know how many credits to award so they cannot add them in So this explains why I see spikes from time to time as my Ryzen 9 spits out WUs fast enough for them to accumulate before getting validated. I suspected this but now I know.TO: mxplm After reading this thread I have to ask if you see any value in the streak number. Does it give you any insightful info at all? Same for the heat map to its left. |

Thanks guys, that answers my questions.
----------------------------------------@BobbyB, you already asked very similar questions in my other thread. I get that you would like to discuss the recent changes with other long-time crunchers. At the same time, I would like to have a focused and productive discussion. So I would ask you to address your questions in a more fitting thread (or start your own one) so that other discussions can stay on topic. Yes I have and I like to keep on stating it when it is fitting in any thread and it is here since we are talking about the "streak" and not WUs processed or ARP problems.
Why? Because it is a bad indicator. |
