Hello forum,
I know this topic is an old one and already dismissed previously, since there is no interest in having a BOINC agent which can run on IBM's powerPC architecture... but I'd like to try again since there is a potential space for non production servers to provide huge amount of CPU cycles for WCC projects. Security issues can be dealt with easily and also the interaction with other loads on servers is "naturally" managed by the power hypervisor built in functionalities. So does anyone have an idea about compiling a working BOINC agent on AIX or RHEL or SLES on power? Thanks a lot and sorry for bringing up an old issue! |

I don't but remember the science applications would also have to be compiled to run on PPC.
