Deadline to short (Intel-GPU)

Hello everyone, the work units for Intel GPUs have a running time between 3 and 4 hours. I get too many work units for a deadline of 1-2 days that is too short. The server calculates the expected duration of the calculation incorrectly! With a request for compliance. Thanks and Greetings - Klaus

Re: Deadline to short (Intel-GPU)

I'm not aware of any projects with a 1-2 day deadline. Perhaps you can reduce the cache value in the "Workunit Cache Settings" for the profile your device is using? If you're getting too much of a backlog that could keep you from getting to processing a work unit until there's maybe only a day or two left on the deadline. I usually use 0.1 "extra days of work". Longer isn't really needed unless you have intermittent network access.

Re: Deadline to short (Intel-GPU)

Current OPNG task sent to intel_gpus have a three-day deadline here, but I think high-replication resends are given half that (I don't currently have one to check).

So, it's short, but won't be a problem unless your cache settings are too high. I currently run 0.25 days + 0.05 days

Re: Deadline to short (Intel-GPU)

Hi, thanks for the answers. I am reducing the cache and also reducing the maximum number of work units. That should help. Thanks very much
