No probs. Let me know how it went. No go...no option to rollback. Also, where are checking your driver version? I'm only seeing it in the Lenovo app that came with my laptop and it's a different number/version. Also, any way to update those drivers without using Windows update? |

interesting discussion guys. I've got a laptop that I know has an nVidia graphics card that I have crunching GPU wu. The eighth line below in the BOINC log makes me think I have an Intel GPU as well but this could be just the generic display showing up. When I look under Display in System Info, it lists both the nVidia and Intel there. The Intel Driver & Support Assistant app points me to 30.0.100.9955 when I search on 27.20.100.9316 but that looks like a generic Intel driver. 27.20.100.9316 appears to be a Lenovo version. I have never seen the laptop get any Intel GPU wu though but it may be the driver version. If the laptop can also crunch Intel GPU wu, I'd like to. It would appear to me that if it can, I'd need to download the exe for the backlevel driver version, install that and then find a way to keep Windows Update from updating back.

Hi keithhenry,
----------------------------------------your intel processor comes with integrated gpu, have a look at here https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/p...cache-up-to-5-30-ghz.html My best guess to make it work simultaneously with your nvidia, you need to : 1) have <use_all_gpus> set to 1 on cc_config.xml 2) have enabled intel GPU *AND CPU* computing on the web based settings for the opn project 3) have a old enough version of the intel uhd graphics driver |

Also, any way to update those drivers without using Windows update? https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/downl...-windows-dch-drivers.html here's the link to the driver 0) download the driver and save it somewhere on your computer 1) open device manager as administrator 2) disconnect from any network, close the boinc manager and science programs 3) uninstall the intel display driver 4) reboot 5) install the old driver 6) reboot |

Also, I noticed that Lenovo's think vantage program was constanly updating my intel uhd driver, which caused problems, so you may want to disable driver updating or unintall that software

It has now been way over 36 hours without intel GPU WUs on laptops. I will now roll back the driver to see, if it has (I seriously think it has) any effects. E: presumably non-working version of the driver is 27.20.100.9749, released 24.6.2021 E2: rolled back to 27.20.100.8935, released 28.10.2020 Okay, update driver (and reboot), but still BOINC client says no GPU. ![]() |

Okay, update driver (and reboot), but still BOINC client says no GPU. ![]() It's something else then. The client will detect the GPU even if using "wrong" driver. Can you see the intel UHD device in device manager under dislpay adapters? Do you have multiple GPUs on that laptop? Check if the intel has to be turned on from the bios |

That's odd.
----------------------------------------Are you by any change using that laptop via RDP? Or have you installed boinc client to run as a service? |
