Hello,
I'm testing out a repurposed machine to run WCG WUs. I ran a set of 10 WUs to see what the results would be before putting this machine in full production. It's interesting - all of the WUs on it had a Minimum Quorum / Replication quantity of 2. I'm waiting for validation on nearly all of them to see if this new machine is stable. However, it looks like I'll be waiting for days to get all of the validations. Now, on an another machine which has run WCG for a very long time, all of the WUs on it are all Minimum Quorum / Replication quatity of 1. Why is this? Why no validation required on them? Thanks. |

After a certain number of successful tasks (10 or 15, not sure which), a machine is certified as reliable and does not require a wingman. Every now and then, an extra copy for additional verification will get sent on a workunit to make sure the machine is returning good results. You'll see these on the result status page as "pending verification".
----------------------------------------This has been the case with all WCG projects that use the AutoDock and AutoDock Vina software. One such project that may have work in the future is the Smash Childhood Cancer project. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz [Edit 2 times, last edit by Falconet at Jul 4, 2021 5:13:27 PM] |
