You have been heard - Mapping Cancer Markers is on the list as soon as COVID Project and Microbiome Project have ended

Dear Researchers from Mapping Cancer Markers,

Your voice asking for more support for your project
(https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/about_us/viewNewsArticle.do?articleId=712)
has been heard.

As soon as Covid Project and Microbiome Immunity Project have ended, your project
will receive long term report by my machine.
I write this to keep your spirits up.

Best

I switched all CPU work to MCM over a week ago. I still process GPU work for Covid when those are sent to my PC. We need more CPU's switched to MCM. The less CPU work for Covid the more GPU work for Covid could be released.

Hello HGRAY515,
thank you for your reply.
I do not understand the logic and do know to little, to understand why less CPUS for Covid has as a consequences more GPU Covid,
but I decided to belive you.
So, I will just finish the Microbiome Immunity Project
After that, I will not switch CPU to Covid, what I originally intended to do, but go directly to MCM.

Still, I would appriciate an esplanation, how less CPUs for Covid makes the Covid project shift to more GPU workunits.

Best

Re: You have been heard - Mapping Cancer Markers is on the list as soon as COVID Project and Microbiome Project have ended

As I understand it.....The COVID team says their staff can only process/analysis a certain number of total completed batches per week. Those total batches are a combination of CPU and GPU. Prior to asking users to shift some CPU resources away from COVID, they were getting more completed batches than they could process. They reduced the number of GPU batches released in attempt to get down to the completed processing limit. Therefore, if the COVID CPU batches can be reduced, then more of the efficient GPU could be increased.

Currently farming for a 5-year MIP badge... should only be a few more days, provided work units don't run out. After that, I'll be half ARP, half MCM.

There is at least 14 more days of MIP then resends after that...
