Would WCG infrastructure break down? - Probably not, as it did not break down during the test.
Would only the COVIC project be super fast and the other projects would be slowed down? - Probably not, because as far as I know, this did not happen during the test. Would the COVID project end earlier? Certainly yes, because more work units would be processed/crunched. What would happen on the researchers' side? - They would receive data ready for analyis earlier. Folks, I do not see any minuses. Do you see/know any? Thanks for your answers in advance. Maybe they help to end the COVID Project much faster...... All the best. MS |

Researchers need to set new targets before that could happen, probably they are still overwhelmed by the analysis of the big data we created in the previous stress-test.

The fact that there has been no update probably means that WCG is out of the loop, and the scientists are doing their own thing. That is probably inevitable in a large project, but I wonder about the coordination going forward.

Perhaps the monthly update will contain some of the info you're looking for?
